YEATU x Ueda Gallery: Bridging Art Across Borders

[FETV – Reporter Lim Jong Hyun] YEATU platform, which provides art investment brokerage services, has taken its first steps into the Japanese market.

YEATU announced on the 15th that it will hold a solo exhibition for Lee Yoonjung, an 'ETonian' artist from their global membership, at Ueda Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo, Japan, from the 21st to the 26th. The exhibition is titled "New Horizon - The Mind Flows."

This exhibition marks the first project between YEATU and their Japanese partner, Ueda Gallery. It is expected to serve as a significant milestone in promoting cultural exchange and artistic collaboration between South Korea and Japan.

YEATU is an innovative platform that connects domestic and international artists with investors in various art fields such as visual arts, performance, and film, using blockchain and AI technology. The platform also provides diverse investment opportunities to the public, particularly by introducing artworks connected to K-content, aiming for the global expansion of Korea's art ecosystem.

YEATU’s CEO Everine Jo emphasized, "Lee Yoonjung's solo exhibition in Japan is part of the global network solution provided by YeaTu. It is the first step in supporting our ETonian artists to showcase their talent on the world stage."

Jo also stated, "This project will serve as the beginning of our collaborations with various Japanese partners. We are committed to innovating the global art ecosystem and will take the lead in discovering exciting content in Japan while providing new investment opportunities to the public."

The exhibition will feature 12 new works that express soft tones and unique landscapes, using paper airplanes as symbolic elements under the theme of "Wind and Hope", which represents Lee Yoonjung's signature style. Her pieces convey a lyrical and symbolic message, filled with imaginative freedom and hope, delivering a poetic experience to visitors.

Lee Yoonjung, who majored in Western painting at Suwon University and its graduate school, has presented her work through numerous solo exhibitions and art fairs. She has expanded her artistic activities through collaborations with various companies, including a solo exhibition during the Korea Day event at the 2015 Milan Expo, participation in Naver Onstage X project in 2019, and contributing artworks to the 2022 Netflix drama 'Remarriage & Desires.' Her works are also part of public collections, including the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art and the Seoul Eastern District Court, and her recent pieces have been highly regarded in the global art market.

YEATU is planning to accelerate the establishment of a Japanese branch following this exhibition, which will further strengthen the global art network of YeaTu. The company aims to connect the art markets across Korea, Japan, and beyond into a truly innovative global platform.

CEO Jo added, "Japan is a key country in the Asian art market and holds a very important position in our global strategy. Through the establishment of our Japanese branch, we will be able to engage more closely with local artists and investors."
