Looking for Weekend Plans? Enjoy Flowers and Art in Goyang
Every weekend brings the same question: “Where should we go this time?”
If you are looking for a family-friendly outing or an unhurried date idea, put Goyang on your radar this fall. For local residents especially, it is a welcome chance to enjoy a full day out close to home.
In October 2026, two events will take place around Ilsan Lake Park and the Goyang Flower Exhibition Center: the annual 2026 Goyang Autumn Flower Festival and the PIATE 2026 Art Fair, making its debut at this venue. With a joint opening ceremony and shared visitor programming, they create a rare weekend where flowers and art can be enjoyed side by side.

Along the lake, the autumn flower festival unfolds with chrysanthemums, cosmos, pink muhly grass, zinnias, and kochia. Large-scale chrysanthemum installations and photo spots make it ideal for a stroll and a few memorable photos. The outdoor gardens are free to enter, making this an easy outing for couples and families in the crisp fall weather. Hours are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with entry until 5:30 PM.
What makes this weekend especially appealing is how seamlessly the two events connect. The Autumn Flower Festival takes place outdoors at Ilsan Lake Park, while the PIATE 2026 Art Fair is held indoors next door at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Center. You can move easily between nature and art, whatever the weather: wander the flower-lined paths, step inside to see the works, then return to the lakeside for another walk.
Running October 1–4 at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Center, the PIATE 2026 Art Fair is a major special exhibition co-hosted with Chiang Mai Art Museum (CAM) in Thailand. It brings together leading artists from South Korea, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, alongside top Korean pop artists. Families should not miss “Little Picasso,” an art activity program for children. Visitors can also send digital flowers to participating artists through the Flower Gifting program to cheer on their next exhibition.
YEATU will also be joining PIATE 2026 with its own booth and a guaranteed-prize raffle. Look forward to a selection of gifts designed to make your autumn flower-and-art day even more enjoyable.

If you are planning to visit, tailor your route to your company. Families can spend the morning strolling through the festival’s outdoor gardens and photo zones, then explore the PIATE 2026 gallery zone at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Center in the afternoon. Couples may prefer to plan around an afternoon docent tour or artist forum, followed by a walk along the lake as the sun goes down.
If you are driving, check the Goyang City public parking information page in advance for real-time availability by lot.

PIATE does not define art by price alone. “The Missing Middle,” the theme proposed by PIATE 2026, spotlights original works in an accessible range—from KRW 1 million to KRW 30 million. There is no need to decide on a purchase. A leisurely walk through the flower festival and the discovery of one work that stays with you can make the weekend meaningful all on its own.
Before your visit, please confirm the latest opening dates, admission fees, transportation, and parking details through each event’s official channels.
