EverTreasure and BNK Securities Partner to Advance Token Securities Backed by Cultural Content
EverTreasure and BNK Securities will jointly advance a token securities (STO) business backed by cultural content assets, including films, live performances, musicals, and artworks.
EverTreasure, a cultural-finance fintech company, announced on the 14th that it signed a memorandum of understanding with BNK Securities on the 10th to establish strategic cooperation across cultural finance and the token securities business.
Under the agreement, the companies will jointly identify fractional-investment and token securities opportunities using cultural content as underlying assets. BNK Securities will coordinate token securities issuance, exchange and over-the-counter distribution, investor engagement, and regulatory-compliance advisory. EverTreasure will lead underlying-asset sourcing, technology integration, and platform operations.
EverTreasure will also draw on YEATU, its fractional investment platform for culture and the arts, in the token securities business. The company plans to leverage the cultural-content intellectual property (IP) and investor network developed through YEATU to source and distribute underlying assets for token securities products.
EverTreasure’s AI valuation engine, VALQ, and blockchain-based authenticity solution, EVERSEAL, are also expected to be integrated into BNK Securities’ product-review and investor-disclosure workflows to help verify the value and rights relationships of underlying assets.
The companies will further collaborate on underlying-asset due diligence, product structuring, preparations for listing on distribution platforms, joint marketing and investor-relations activities for institutional and high-net-worth investors, and global business expansion through overseas entities.
The partnership between EverTreasure and BNK Financial Group is expanding from banking into securities. EverTreasure integrated the YEATU platform into the BNK Kyongnam Bank app in August last year and recently secured a strategic investment from the bank.
“For cultural and artistic assets to be properly recognized in the capital markets, technological verification and financial infrastructure must work in tandem,” said Everine Jo, CEO of EverTreasure. “Our goal is to combine the cultural IP assets built through YEATU with BNK Securities’ strong investor base to introduce Korea’s first token securities product backed by cultural content.”
Everine added, “Through the successful issuance and redemption of the first token securities product, we aim to give artists greater access to funding for creative work while offering investors a credible new investment opportunity.”
