Latin dance is typically divided into five main styles:

Rumba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Samba, Paso Doble, and Jive.

Each carries its own unique flavor, like a bold spice that colors the stage with personality and emotion.

Jive: The Pulse of Joyful Energy

Representing the professional side of this showcase, Oh Sehyun and Lee Haewon—former members of the Korean national sports dance team—are taking the floor with their signature style: Jive.

“Jive is full of bounce and energy—it matches our couple’s dynamic perfectly!”

Derived from swing dance, Jive is defined by its quick tempo and springy, syncopated footwork.

Think of a 1950s American high school dance party—fun, vibrant, and bursting with charm. The energy of Oh and Lee’s performance is sure to get your feet tapping.

Cha-Cha-Cha: Cool Meets Playful

Also stepping into the spotlight is the amateur duo gaining serious buzz: Kim Deokyoung and Kim Seeun. Their specialty? A sleek and speedy Cha-Cha-Cha.

“Our style is all about fast footwork with a touch of attitude. Watch out for our Cha-Cha-Cha!”

Originating in Cuba, Cha-Cha-Cha is known for its lively rhythm and repeating steps. Danced to the beat of “cha-cha-cha,” it’s as light and breezy as a walk along a tropical coastline.
