New Horizon -The Mind Flows- Lee Yoonjung’s Solo Exhibition
“The Mind Flows.”
Lee Yoonjung's exhibition "The Mind Flows." at Ueda Gallery is unraveling the emotions felt in everyday experiences in the virtual space. In particular, the story, which started from the absence of a family, focuses on the themes of "authenticity" and "communication," urging the audience to understand, empathize, and reflect in the complex web of relationships.
The artist induces communication and empathy in the audience through a virtual space that he creates in his own way, and this space transforms into a place of participation, not just an appreciation. Paper airplanes, which appear as symbolic objects in the work, convey messages of wind and hope across time and space. This can be reinterpreted in various meanings depending on the audience's gaze and interpretation.
In addition, Lee Yoonjung seeks her own unique way of expression through color research and visualization of imagination by simplifying formative elements such as dots, lines, and surfaces. Through this, the artist's current goal is to create a connection of emotions and to increase the persuasive power of her work.
This exhibition offers an experience that crosses the boundaries of time and space, and presents a new perspective on relationships and communication in modern society.
