Shinobu Kocho — The Dance of Poison and Death

In the depths of the Infinity Castle, inside a lotus-filled temple, Shinobu Kocho senses the scent of blood.

Following it, she enters a dim room—only to face the one she despises most: Doma, Upper Rank Two, the killer of her sister Kanae.

She strikes first, her blade laced with poison, but Doma’s body is too perfect; it neutralizes every toxin she wields. Her blade trembles. He smiles. Moments later, her bones are crushed within his fatal embrace.

And yet, even in death, Shinobu refuses to yield.

Her final move, Dance of the Centipede: Hundred-Legged Zigzag, becomes her last act of defiance— turning her entire body into a weapon, a living storm of poison that devours him from within. Shinobu vanishes. She becomes the first fallen Hashira within the Infinity Castle.

It is not simply a death scene—it is a moment where love, vengeance, and conviction converge into a single, tragic grace.

Zenitsu vs. Kaigaku — Proof of Belief

While Shinobu’s life fades, another confrontation erupts elsewhere in the castle. Zenitsu Agatsuma stands before his former senior, Kaigaku, who has betrayed the Corps and become a demon.

Once disciples of the same master, they now meet as enemies divided by pride. Zenitsu is still anxious, still trembling—but not the same boy anymore. When Kaigaku mocks the death of their teacher, Zenitsu’s fury finally ignites.

“What I feared most wasn’t demons. It was people like you.”

Their battle is brutal. Kaigaku’s demon-enhanced Thunder Breathing nearly overwhelms him, but Zenitsu unveils a secret form he created himself— Thunder Breathing, Seventh Form: Flaming Thunder God.

A single streak of lightning flashes through the darkness. Kaigaku’s head falls. Zenitsu collapses, and in his fading consciousness, sees his master’s spirit smiling.

“You’ve made me proud.” That is all it takes. Zenitsu’s fear was never weakness—it was proof that courage existed within him all along.

Tanjiro & Giyu vs. Akaza — The Ethics of Strength

The ceiling shatters. Akaza, Upper Rank Three, descends like a comet. “Will you make me stronger too?” he says, almost gently. Tanjiro and Giyu draw their swords in unison. The air trembles.

Giyu awakens his Demon Slayer Mark; Akaza snaps his blade in half. Tanjiro enters a heightened state—the Transparent World. For the first time, Akaza feels fear. He unleashes his ultimate technique, Destructive Death: Annihilation Type – Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow, but Tanjiro’s presence has vanished entirely—his spirit invisible, unreadable.

A flash of the Hinokami Kagura. Akaza’s head flies. Yet he refuses to die.

As his body struggles to regenerate, a vision appears—Koyuki, the fiancée he lost as a human. In her eyes, he finally remembers why he wanted strength at all. Not to destroy, but to protect.

Akaza stops healing. He lets himself disintegrate. He becomes the second demon to die within the Infinity Castle, not by defeat, but by redemption.

Infinity as Art

Infinity Castle – Chapter I is not just a collection of fights. It is a portrait of three emotions that define what it means to be human:
